Candidates are advised to review them and if there are any further questions they may fill out the query form and they will be responded at the earliest.

RTMC REGISTRATION
OF TRAINING After passing FCPS-I a candidate should apply on Form “A”
to RTMC, CPSP for registration along with supervisor’s Form
“B”.
PROCEDURE
FOR CHANGE OF SUPERVISOR The following conditions have to be fulfilled for a change of supervisor/Institute: 1. Your proposed supervisor must be an approved supervisor
with CPSP (current list of CPSP approved supervisors is available
at website www.cpsp.edu.pk ) Q3. How to continue or start my FCPS-II training abroad? For registration as FCPS-II trainee for the candidates who are working abroad the candidate has to provide a letter from the hospital that it is accredited for postgraduate training by the Royal Colleges for UK and Ireland, Saudia council of Health Specialty for Saudia Arabia and Health Council of Nepal in the selected Specialty. Secondly trainee will have to provide a complete C.V. of his/her proposed supervisor along with the supervisor “Form – B’ that can be downloaded from our website www.cpsp.edu.pk for him to be approved by CPSP as a supervisor. Please note that the proposed supervisor must possess FCPS/MRCP/FRCP/FRCS Diplomat American Board or equivalent qualification plus five years post fellowship experience in a recognized institute. Registration fees for the trainees acquiring training abroad is US$ 150/-. Q4. How much are the Registration fees and the 1st Instalment to be paid for FCPS-II/DCPS training registration with RTMC? First Instalment: The payment of first instalment is mandatory to process the application
for FCPS-II/DCPS training registration with RTMC, CPSP. Q5. What is the total amount to be paid to CPSP for FCPS-II training in Medicine and Allied? The fees can be paid in three instalments: Please note that you are required to submit the first instalment
of fees along with your application for RTMC registration or within
3 months of submission of your application failing which your
registration status will be suspended. Q6. What is the total amount to be paid to CPSP for FCPS-II training in Surgery and Allied? The fees can be paid in three instalments: Please note that you are required to submit the first instalment

registration status will be suspended. Q7. What is the validity of my FCPS-I and how long is it valid for FCPS-II registration after passing FCPS-I? As a general rule the validity of a pass in FCPS Part – I for candidates who have passed/will pass FCPS Part – I in 2000 and later is three years from the date of passing this examination plus the duration of fellowship training program that is: - For a 3 year program the validity is for 6 years It is advised to all FCPS-II trainees that they start their training
within 3 years of passing FCPS-I otherwise the FCPS-I status will
become null and void. The training should be started under an
approved supervisor in an approved institution by the CPSP and
the candidate should apply for RTMC registration within one month
of starting training, otherwise the date of commencement of training
will be from the date on which the application is received by
the RTMC. Q8. What should I do when I change my supervisor/Institute while training for DCPS? A candidate should apply for re-registration along with all
the necessary documents in case of change of institute or supervisor
on DCPS registration form within one month to RTMC, CPSP. Q9. How many FCPS-II trainees a supervisor can supervise at one time? A CPSP approved supervisor for FCPS-II training is allowed maximum of 8 trainees under his supervision at one time. Q10. How many DCPS trainees a supervisor can supervise at time? A CPSP approved supervisor for DCPS training is allowed maximum of 6 trainees under his supervision at time. Q11. How can we find that whether our current supervisor is approved by CPSP or not? To find whether your supervisor is approved by CPSP or not, check our website www.cpsp.edu.pk where a list of approved supervisors is available for trainees guidance, which is updated regularly. Q.12 How can we find that whether our current Institute is approved by CPSP or not? To find whether your Institute is approved by CPSP or not, check our website www.cpsp.edu.pk where a list of approved Institutes by CPSP is available for trainees guidance, which is updated regularly. Q13. What a trainee should do in case an approved supervisor is retired from his service? The trainees registered with RTMC under a supervisor who has retired from service should select another approved supervisor to continue his training and apply for re-registration on Form “AA” along with supervisor’s Form “B”. Q.14. If due to some financial problems a trainee is unable to pay the installment of FCPS-II training fees at the time of registration does CPSP offers any monetary assistance or scholarships to its trainees? A trainee can apply for Qarz-e –Hasna to CPSP Trust for financial assistance, if candidate cannot pay the mandatory Workshops Fees. Provided they are not receiving monthly stipend. |
