What are the requirements for approval as supervisor from CPSP?
For approval of Supervisor the following requirements must be fulfilled:
1. As per CPSP policy it is mandatory that applicant at least hold the position of Assistant Professor to be approved by CPSP as a supervisor for training of the post graduate candidates.
2. As per CPSP policy it is mandatory to have 5 years Post Fellowship Experience after acquiring FCPS/FRCS/FRCP/MRCP/MS/MD or equivalent qualifications recognized by CPSP to be approved as a supervisor.
3. Form ‘B’ i.e. supervisor data. Please send us a duly filled form.
4. Please send us the list/registration forms of trainees (minimum-4, maximum-8) under your supervision. This is pre-requisite for an approval.
5. As per CPSP rules the application for the approval as a supervisor has to be properly recommended and forwarded by the Principal/Head of the Institution.
6. Please mention in which unit of <<SPECIALSUB>> you are working and how many approved supervisors already working in the same. Please also provide the Faculty detail for each unit in <<SPECIALSUB>>.
7. Complete Curriculum Vitae is required.
8. Photocopy of valid P.M.D.C. registration certificate duly updated showing all your post graduate degree/qualifications.
9. Photocopies of Four mandatory workshops for supervisors i.e.
a) Educational Planning & Evaluation.
b) Assessment of Competence.
c) Supervisory Skills.
d) Research Methodology, Biostatistics & Medical Writing.
In case the workshops have not been attended then apply for registration to workshop unit and the photocopy of the application form and fees may be dispatched to RTMC along with other documents.
