QARZ-E-HASNA SCHEME FOR POST FELLOWSHIP TRAINING.

The CPSP Trust has started a “QARZ-E-HASNA” scheme for the fellows of the College for post-fellowship training in Pakistan or abroad. The sanctioned loans are to be repaid in three years time after completion of training and is advanced to a fellow only once. Every year College would invite applications from the desirous Fellows of at least two years’ standing for post-fellowship training in selected sub-specialities. The relevance of the field of training vis-a-vis the local requirement is a key consideration. During 1993-2006 period 101 fellows were sponsored by the Trust under “QARZ-E-HASNA” scheme, which involved release of a total sum of Rs. 27.69 Million as Qarz-e-Hasna.

QARZ-E-HASNA SCHEME FOR WORKSHOPS/DISSERTATION FEE FOR FCPS-II TRAINEES.

Keeping in view the financial difficulties being faced by those FCPS-II trainees who are not getting any stipend/salary, the CPSP Trust in their meeting held on 30th November, 2001 decided to launch another scheme for FCPS-II trainees also. This enables such FCPS-II trainees to get Qarz-e-Hasna for RTMC Registration/Workshops and submission of Dissertation Fee. Uptill February 2006, 429 FCPS-II trainees have benefited from this scheme.

QARZ-E-HASNA SCHEME FOR STRATOG – DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAMME FOR FCPS-II TRAINEES IN OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY.

The CPSP Trust has also decided to grant Qarz-e-Hasna for StratOG- Distance Learning Programme for FCPS-II trainees in Obstetraics & Gynecology, from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, London. Sultan Farooqui visited England, Scotland (U.K), Nepal, Singapore and Australia and made arrangements for their training slots. The number of nominees in a choosen discipline is, however, confined to two per year. In order to further the collaboration and existing relationship with overseas sister institutions Memoranda of Understanding have been signed between CPSP and The K.K. Women’s and Children’s Hospital Singapore, the Institute of Medicine, Nepal, and University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. In addition, proposals have been made to formally approve Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) between CPSP and The National University of Singapore, The Singapore General Hospital and International Association of Academy and College Presidents, South Africa.
