This
department offers an intensive course in Surgery (Continuing Medical
Education CME program) which is a one month course
for FCPS II candidates. In Jan 2004 intensive courses will be offered
in Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Paediatrics Community
and Family Medicine.
| Purpose |
Surgical
studies is a comprehensive course for Part II candidates before
they appear in their examination .This course emphasizes more
on workshop format rather than on didactic teaching. The trainees
would be asked to come prepared with the given items and they
would be mostly asked to discuss after a short directive from
the facilitator. |

Program: |
It is a
program offered by Royal College of Surgeon of London
which will also be instituted for the benefit of students
of Surgery. Pilot Study has already been conducted. It is
self/distant learning program and will be modified to suit
the local needs. |
