Prof. M. Shoaib Shafi
Councilor CPSP
    Introduction :-
      Graduated from KEMC Lahore in 1982, he did Fellowship training at Mayo Hospital Lahore and completed FCPS in 1987. He worked as Assistant Professor at Rawalpindi Medical College in 1987, promoted as Associate Professor in 1993 and Professor in 2004. He has been awarded FRCP from Royal Colleges of London, Edinburgh, Ireland and Glasgow.

      Professor Shoaib Shafi is also working as incharge of PGTs Committee of Rawalpindi Medical College and chief warden of RMC. Has special interest is Gastroenterology and Hepatology and he has 25 publications to his credit. He has been Vice President of Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and G.I. Endoscopy. He was elected as member of Faculty of Medicine of CPSP in 2004 and Councillor of CPSP in 2007. During his 4 years tenure as Councilor, he did his best to enhance the CPSP stature both internationally and nationally. He was instrumental in developing culture of mutual respect and honour for our worthy Fellows.

      Keeping in view the demand and ever increasing requirements of new subspecialities, he worked to the best of his abilities to plan and develop the specialities of: Critical Care Medicine, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Emergency Medicine.
