I do agree with you that educational institutions thrive and progress when they enjoy academic and administrative autonomy. But let me add one more factor to the list, and that is the social responsibility that should lie at the heart of such institutions. This requires that the people recognize and acknowledge the utility of the institutions and consider that they really care for them and the product they are making is safe and good for them. This particularly applies to medical institutions, which are the real custodian of medical profession and hence have the highest responsibility on their shoulders to ensure that their graduates would provide relief to the sufferings of ailing people not only by the utmost utilization of the acquired knowledge and skills but by also manifesting empathic behaviors and attitudes".
The Minister went on to remind members of medical profession in general and the new entrants of CPSP into the professional practice in particular, that "like your parents and families the people of this country have made sacrifices
to ensure that you reach to this high pedestal of medical profession and I am confident that you will not disappoint them". To read Full Speach click here
